ICAN of Salem is a local chapter of the International Cesarean Awareness Network, a
non-profit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by
preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for
cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean
(VBAC).
ICAN of Salem provides a place for women who
are looking for information on c-section recovery or VBAC or a simply need to
share their story with caring, understanding women.
ICAN of Salem provides information to women interested in preventing c-section
and understanding their options for maternity
care and birth in our area.
